@onewomanandsomesongs yep that would be mostly Aldi items! I love that store as well, though sometimes their potato’s are rotten. For dry goods and basics they are awesome!

@Amenat u know a co-worker of mine got back from visiting family in central america a few weeks ago and she was surprised and how little people live on. It made me think, what I spend and get for it would be eating quite well for them. Just amazing how different people live in different parts of the world.

I basically lived out of the dollar store after college. I somehow made it 6 months on just that. I spent 40-80 dollars a month on food from the dollar store. I also shopped at grocery outlet for awhile, they have more fresh foods than the dollar store does and more of a selection but again I never spent more then 120 on food for a month.

i eat quite a few eggs for protein
i think the only thing that might make a dietitian cringe- is lack of fruits and veggies – i try to find stuff in season, and cheap bananas, and carrots.

    It really doesn’t …
It really doesn’t look like much! Still, it’s amazing how we can shape our lives to meet our means. Getting heavily into debt to fund a lifestyle you can’t afford is stupid.
